  1. Please fill out this form.
  2. I want all of them.
  3. Fill in the blanks.
  4. I'll ask her
  5. When will it open?
  6. Let's call it a day.
  7. Be careful not to fall off the ladder.
  8. I often use a mail order.
  9. I like the smell of roses.
  10. What is the goal of the study?

2は「all of」が対象。

5は「will it」が対象。will it openのitのtはフラップ化はしない。will itで一旦切れる。

call it a dayで「今日はここまでにしよう」の意味。

not toは「ナットぅ」のようにnotのtが弱い。

Salesperson: What seems to be the problem?

Jun: The hem is a little too long. Can you shorten it by about two inches?

S: Yes, of course. But that will be an extra ten dollars.

Jun: That's fine, thank you.

Lisa: Wow, they're selling these pantyhose at three pairs for the price of one. That is so cheap!

Jun: Before you ring up the sale, I'll take those, too.

S: Will that be all for you today?

Jun: Yes, thanks.

S: Cash or credit?

Jun: Do you take American Express?

解説1

What seems to be the problem? What’s the wrong with you?

a little too long ちょっと長すぎ。

at three pairs for the price of one

Will that be all for you today?

take American Express takeは(クレジットカードなどを)扱っている、という意味で使われる。

課題2

S: No, sorry. We [ ] [ ] Visa or Master Card.

Jun: Ok, [ ] Visa please.

S: [ ] your receipt, please [ ] your name.

S: Your [ ] is $4.60. Here's [ ], [ ], [ ], [ ] and [ ].

Thank you very much, ladies. Please [ ] [ ].

[Jun [ ] [ ] [ ] watch.]

Jun: Oh, I've gotta [ ] to my [ ] appointment. It was really great [ ] up with you, Lisa. Let's do this again.

Lisa: Yes, it was [ ]. See you soon.

解答2

S: No, sorry. We only take Visa or Master Card.

Jun: Ok, then Visa please.

S: Here's your receipt, please sign your name.

Lisa: I'd like to buy these earrings, please.

S: That'll be $15.40, tax included.

Lisa: I'll pay cash. Here's a twenty.

S: Your change is $4.60. Here's 16, 17, 18, 19 and 20.

Thank you very much, ladies. Please come again.

[Jun looks at her watch.]

Jun: Oh, I've gotta run to my dental appointment. It was really great catching up with you, Lisa. Let's do this again.

Lisa: Yes, it was fun. See you soon.

Here’s a twenty twentyに「a」がついているのは「20ドル札」であることを示唆している。
