音変化
弱く曖昧に発音される母音（２）
my presentation 私のプレゼンテーション
presentationの語末は「プレゼンテーション」ではなく，「プレゼンテーシャン」のように聞こえます。
これは，語末の-tionのtとnにはさまれた[io]にアクセントがないので，非常に弱く発音されるからです。
なおこの音変化は2019年2月7日の回で取り上げておりますのでそちらもご参考に。

解説
各例文「・・tion」の音がポイント。
3 the nearest station 最寄りの駅。near stationとは言わない。
nearestの後半の音が弱いけど、near stationとは言わないことを知ることでnearestと判別できるようにする。near by stationという表現はある。
4 in class 授業に。in classでひとまとめで覚える。in a classとはならない。
6 science fiction 日本語ではSF。英語ではSci-Fi（サイファイ）と略されることが多い

初めて聴いてわからないときは、2回、3回とわかるまで繰返してみる。
3回目でわかれば普段から3回繰り返すようにする。経験することで聴き取ることが可能になるので、自分で「何回でわかるか」を知っておくとよい。

publicのpubは「人」という意味。
publishは「人」の前にさらすので「発行」
transportationのportは「船」の意味
importは「船」で「中に」いれるので「輸入」
importanceは輸入するくらい「大切」なもの
余談：「駐車する」はpull over。馬車のたずなをひっぱって停める姿から発展。
トレーニング
- ビジュアルリスニングで「強く」発音するところを意識する。
- ペアワークでKとMに役割分担。
- スピードを変えて音声に合わせて練習。
- 音声に合わせるときは「ささやくように」あるいは「口パク」でやると、オリジナル音声（正しい音）を聴きながら練習ができる。自分の声が大きすぎるとオリジナル音声が聞こえなくなってしまう。口パクで練習するとオリジナル音声に対して修正をかけながら練習ができる。
