Sound Change

had a slight fever

[ ] you to every party

回答1

It all just sounds like ooh, ooh ooh hoo hooMm,

too young, too dumb to realize

That I should have bought you flowers

And held your hand

Should have given you all my hours

When I had the chance

Taken you to every party

'cause all you wanted to do was dance

Now my baby's dancing

But she's dancing with another man

I hope he [ ] you flowers

I hope he [ ] your hand

Give you all [ ] hours

When he [ ] the chance

Take you to every party

'Cause I [ ]

how much you [ ] to dance

Do all the things I should [ ] [ ]

When I [ ] your man

回答2

I hope he buys you flowers

I hope he holds your hand

Give you all his hours

When he has the chance

Take you to every party

'Cause I remember

how much you loved to dance

Do all the things I should have done

When I was your man

<should 完了形>

I should have bought you flowers

Should have given you all my hours

この後に続いているtaken you to every partyもshould haveに続くので過去分詞になっています。

all thing (that) I should have done

<現在形>

Now my baby's dancing

But she's dancing with another man

ここでは hope (that) he buys you flowers とthat節が続いています。

We won't go out if it rains.

<過去形>

'cause all you wanted to do was dance

how much you loved to dance

When I was your man

<推量のwould>

Give you all his hours

When he has the chance

Take you to every party

このGiveとTakeの前は「He would」が省略されていて、When he has the chanceは実は上下の両方の文にかかっていると思われます。

He would give you all his hours when he has the chance.

He would take you to every party when he has the chance.
