Sound Change
[r]を含む音節に[ty]が続くとき[t]は[L]に変わる。
thirtyの[ir]のように[r]を含む母音に[ty]が続くとき、[t]は[L]のようにはつおんされるのでthirtyは「サーティー」ではなく「サーリー」のように聞こえることがあります。
この現象は他の母音[ar][er][or]に[ty]が続くときにも起こります。

/nt/に強勢のない音節や子音文字が続くとき
[t]がほとんど発音されず[n]だけの音になる。
/nt/の前に強いアクセントがあり、そのアクセントを意識することで[t]を発音する余裕がなくなり、自然と[t]が発音されなくなる。

rhythm of the falling rain 「リズミカルに降る雨音」。yが母音の役割をしている。
what a fool I’ve been I’ve beenと現在完了を使っているのは「過去の時点から今の時点までずっと」を表している。過去形だと「過去の時点」だけを表す。
I wish that it would go ここのitはrainを表す。rainを「否定的な気持ち」として照らし合わせている。
