Wの発音
Wの発音を練習。
日本語の「う」が近い音のように聞こえるが、実際はまったく違う音で日本語にはない音になる。
唇を突き出して音を出した後すぐに唇を引き戻すことを意識。

解説
Deep down Deepは南方向。（北はUp） Downは下に
way back up in ~ 〜のずっと奥の方。wayは強調で「ずっと」
woods woodがたくさんあるので「森」
made of ~ 〜で作られている
evergreens 常緑樹（がたくさん）ということで複数形。常緑樹1本だったらan evergreen treeという表現が一般的。またアクセントは頭のeにある。greenにおくとそれはever greenと2語であることを意味し、意味が変わる。
earth and wood earthもwoodもここでは不可算名詞
named ここでは「受け身」として使われている。（親から）名付けられた
never ever everは強調。neverと一緒になって「今まで一度たりとも〜ない」
so well ちょっと遠慮気味に「そんなに」と否定を柔らかくしている
ring a bell 「人を惹きつける」That rings a bellは「それは思い当たるふしがある」という意味。That name rings a bellで「その名前は思い当たるところがある」のように使う。

正しい音で発音することで正しい音が耳に入ってくる、と原澤講師。
wの音は日本語にない音で、日本語になく、さらに「う」に引きづられるので「w」の音はよく練習すること。
今回取り上げた「Johnny B. Goode」は「w」の音が多いの選曲されたそうです。
